In the beginning.....

​

GSM Advisory Services Limited ("GSM") was set up by Garry Mackay. Garry has been recognised as an expert in technology and commercial law by Legal 500 and Chambers and has managed and run a Top 100 law firm for a number of years. However, he decided to leave the profession and set up his own consultancy and advisory company that was focused solely on contractual and project management services.

Garry has set out to find a group of like-minded individuals that could bring together a business that put the client at the heart of the service. The focus was and is simple:

 

• no client will be taken on unless we have first got to understand the business, its drivers, its strategy, its culture and its constraints. Only armed with an understanding of the client can you then structure your advice clearly;

​

• the service provided must be commercial, understandable and provided in a fee structure that was clear and unambiguous;

​

• we will encourage, invest and promote innovation but not just for the sake of it. Innovation should and must have a purpose that helps the business and the customers we work with.
